Job details
We are looking for a talented Broadcast Technical Manager to manage the live streaming of an essential public sector organisation.
The role is part technical and part project managerial. The successful candidate will be well versed in streaming and AV technology, bringing a traditional broadcast level of professional experience to this live streaming role. While also having 5 direct reports made up of Engineers and Technical Operators.
The Broadcasting office that you would be a part of currently has:
- 4 Panasonic PTZ cameras
- ForA vision mixers
- Shure wired conferencing system with digital audio desk
- Squared Paper video conference interface
- 8 Ikegami camera channels with Shotoku remote heads
- 2 x Ross Carbonite vision mixers (1 for Video Conference integration)
- 174 Dante end points for PA and data traffic
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure fault free resilience of all key services to prevent any disruption to business
- Lead an ethos of excellence in all technical operations
- Oversee fault finding regime to explore trends and create maintenance and capital refresh
- Continue the innovation of systems, including live data integration with systems in other business areas
Essential Skills:
- Professional technical broadcast standards
- Broadcast vision control and distribution equipment
- Analogue and digital audio equipment
- Maintenance and support of portable and robotic cameras, camera channels, vision systems and vision mixers
- Post-production workflows, preferably Adobe Premiere.
- Archiving systems and digital media management
- Video encoding, decoding and transport streams
