We’re looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Manager to provide full-time cover for a secondment period of six months for a big West London Broadcaster. This role is delivery-focused, keeping critical reporting, forecasting support and insight outputs running smoothly, improving quality and reducing manual effort where sensible. You’ll sit within the broadcasters Business Operations & Analytics team and work closely with Finance, Production and senior stakeholders across the business.
What you’ll deliver (6 month period)
- Monthly performance reporting delivered to agreed deadlines – pack build, commentary co-ordination, QA and clear narrative
- Forecasting support – help maintain alignment between business forecasting tools and Finance, tracking movements and key assumptions
- Stakeholder MI cadence – keep agreed decks and updates running with clear actions, ownership and governance
- Dashboards and datasets – maintain, fix breaks quickly, improve reliability and reduce rework
- Documentation and continuity – keep runbooks current and deliver a clean handover back at end of contract
What you’ll do
- Own day-to-day delivery of agreed reporting outputs – building, validating and communicating insight
- Manage priorities across BAU cycles and ad-hoc asks – flagging risks early and protecting deadlines
- Provide day-to-day direction to Junior Business Analysts where relevant – tasking, coaching and quality oversight (no formal line management)
- Identify small, high-impact improvements – simplification, automation, standardisation and better governance
What you'll bring:
Must have
- Strong BI delivery experience in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced Excel – confident building packs, models and controls (Power Query a plus)
- Confident stakeholder management – you can run a cadence, chase inputs and land messages with clarity
- Strong quality mindset – you spot issues, fix root causes and improve processes
- Finance literacy – comfortable around month-end rhythms, forecasting, budgets and variance narratives
Nice to have
- Power Platform experience – Power Automate, SharePoint Lists or similar (a huge plus)
- Solid SQL skills – comfortable using SQL Server / SSMS to query and validate data
- Strong Power BI or Tableau capability – you can build, maintain and improve dashboards
- Familiarity with SAP, Ariba, BusinessObjects or enterprise finance tools
- Experience in a creative, media or production-led business
Non-negotiables
- Need to be available Mon-Friday
- In the office Mon/Tue/Thu, WFH the other days
- Comfortable being hands-on (you will be building packs and doing QA, not delegating)
